Bear Lake 2010

We were missing a lot of our group this year. Jon was on his honeymoon and the Cox family couldn't make it. We managed to have a good time anyways.

The kids enjoyed riding and driving the jet skis.

They especially enjoyed playing in the "hot tub" aka the swamp. It was gross but kept them happy.

Grayson was so proud of his boat made from other peoples garbage. He gave me a long talk about how people just throw things away but he knew how to make cool things out of what they didn't want.

Since we were missing some men, my dad let Tami and I go golfing. It was our first time. After beating the Kamerath's we were wishing we had bet them something good, like a weeks worth of diaper changing.

Jon's Wedding

My younger brother Jonathan got married in July. It was a fun day, especially for the kids. They LOVE their new aunt Melissa.

The Bride and Groom

This was our embarrassing moment when Grayson attacked Melissa stepping all over her dress.

All of the flower girls took their job very seriously and wouldn't let Melissa's dress touch the ground.

I know Lydia won't forget her special day as part of the wedding party.

Kate was also a flower girl.

4th of July

We started our day out at the church for a pancake breakfast.

It's become a tradition to take our scooters and ride they around the parking lot.

Aunika and I were thinking alike.

We were lucky enough to have Porter and Carol with us for the holiday.

In the afternoon we headed out to my moms home town for a parade. My grandpa was being honored as a Grand Marshall.

Lydia recited the Pledge of Allegiance while waiting for the parade to start.

It was a small town parade but the kids loved all the candy.

We spent the rest of the day at a family party and swimming at Waterhaven.

Ice Cream on the 4th

Shelly and Chad made Ice Cream at our family party. It was so yummy.

Clair was such a good helper.

She throughly enjoyed the fruits of her labor.

I think we all did.

Dance Program

Lydia had her dance program a few weeks ago. She did a great job. She knew the entire routine better than anyone even though we missed the last 4 weeks of class.

She danced to a song about brushing your teeth.

Can you tell she thinks she's something special.

Lydia really likes to dance especially in public. If there is any kind of music in public, she'll put on a show. We've had a lot of comments that, her dance lessons have paid off. I don't think it has anything to do with lessons, the girl just likes to dance.

p.s. we are looking into a new program. Does anyone know of a good one in the SL area. She says she want to do just ballet, but I don't know if she really has the attention span.

Disneyland 2010

Sorry, here is a long line of pictures. I know it's lame to have so many but it's my blog and I like pictures.

Some things to remember:

-Kate was the perfect age to visit Disneyland. She was so excited to meet every character and was not afraid to give lots of hugs. Here speech improved dramatically the two days we were there. She had no problem telling us were she wanted to go and what she wanted to see. She says her favorite ride was the "Ladybugs". I loved having a child her age to make the park Magical.

-Grayson was finally old enough to ride every ride. I thought he would love Indian Jones, he thought it was still a bit too scary. His favorite rid was Pirates of the Caribbean.

-Lydia rode every ride she could, but only because I made her. She cried before riding Thunder Mountain, but it ended up being her favorite ride.

-The kids and I have vowed to NEVER ride Hollywood Tower of Terror again. Jared was sure they were old enough to ride. He promised they wouldn't get scared. I rode the ride with them while he watched Kate and Clair. I wanted to kill him. If they don't have nightmares for months it will be a miracle. I don't even know what happens on the ride I was too busy trying to control my freaked out kids. They were bawling and yelling the whole time. We were strapped down so all i could do was hold their arms and yell in their ears it was going to be okay.

-There was an earthquake in Southern California and they had to close down the rides early the first night.
